Description

The surrounding area is a popular spot for walkers, due to the many different types of wildlife and birds in the area. Just up the road at Whippingham, you’ll find one the Islands most popular historical attractions, Osbourne House, former home to Queen Victoria and now open to the Public all year round.
A short stroll along the harbour front will bring you the closest Pub & Restaurant, The Breeze, which has extensive outside seating and a large children’s play area and is very popular in the Summer. Slightly further away and a 20 minute walk down the River is The Folly Inn, which is usually teaming with visiting sailors from the nearby yacht moorings.

Location

The property has a small courtyard garden at the rear and there are communal gardens and picnic areas throughout the development. The Marina waterfront is a few steps from the front of the property

The location here is 5 star, the harbour is in 1 minute walk and there is a lovely pub 2 minutes walk away. Great play area for the children. The house is extremely comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Already booked for a week next year. Just a perfect peaceful family holiday.

Everything about this accommodation was perfect. The only criticism, if you can call it the, more a comment. The lighting between the car park and the house was poor. But if that’s the only issue, then a five star rating is very well deserved. A welcome packet of biscuits , milk and tea were available on entry. The honesty of the cleaning team, (one lovely lady) is top drawer. I left my apple AirPods on the bedside table. Within 20 minuets of us checking out, I had a call to say they were found. I was 10 minute away so easy collection was made. A huge thank you to the cleaning team.

Tradewinds is a lovely little terraced cottage on a fairly modern marina development. The area is peaceful with some fabulous walks, fairly close to Newport and whilst it is certainly more convenient to have a car, it is only a short walk to a bus stop. The house itself is well stocked and is comfortable and as we stayed during winter, I'm delighted to say it was cosy and warm and the kids certainly appreciated it having run around outside.

Quiet and scenic location in marina development to retire to at the end of the day. Perfect base for cycling as central to the island and you can get to Newport on a cycle track along the estuary. Free parking is a bonus. Kitchen and sitting room are quite small so I would not recommend the house for more than 5 or 6, but otherwise well set up as a holiday home.

We had a lovely stay at Tradewinds and the house was comfortable for our party of 3 adults and 5 children. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of storage space for clothing etc. The house has a view of the marina from the kitchen and a couple of the bedrooms. The Breeze pub which is a short walk away has an excellent play area for children, good food and pleasant staff. The house is ideally located to explore the whole island.
