36a Cowes High Street

1 bedroom

As the name suggests, this perfectly located couples retreat is located on Cowes High Street. The town has a rich cafe culture, with various cafes and pubs spread along the waterfront High Street. There are is also a great selection of good restaurants, such as Coast and the North House within a few minutes stroll. The high street is filled with independent shops, unlike most other high streets, and retains a great deal of charm, missing from most modern town centres. During the summer months, the town gets very vibrant with events and a throng of visitors, but in the winter months, it becomes a much quieter harbour town, with plenty still to offer, including a promenade stretching from the end of the High Street all the way to nearby Gurnard. A great spot for a long walk or a cycle ride.

The apartment is filled with lots of interesting and bright pieces of artwork and furniture, including some wonderful wall-art and large murals. The accommodation is ideal for couples, with one large bedroom with a 'Zip & Link' bed which can be made up as a super-king or as two single beds, bathroom, living area and fully equipped kitchen.

Off the Kitchen there is also a small decked roof garden, a bright little suntrap and comes complete with Bistro Table, making it an ideal spot for morning coffee or a glass of Wine in the evening.

Included with the accommodation is use of two fold up bikes, which can be found under the stairs. The surrounding area is perfect for a bit of exploration on bikes, as it is mostly flat, with quiet roads and wide paved cycle routes stretching along the waterfront.

The Flat is a stones throw from the waterfront and passenger ferry to Southampton (RedJet). For anyone attending a sailing event, the Cowes Yacht Haven and events centre is only 100 metres away.

The accommodation is perfect anyone looking for a short or long break by the sea, with good transport links to the rest of the Island. There is a Marks and Spencer food hall just around the corner and the plethora of shops and cafes on the high street should provide you with all you need during your stay.

There is free parking available in nearby streets for a limited time, but for longer stays, it’s best to either use one of the nearby pay and display car parks or find a free space on one of the residential streets within walking distance.

Nice place, good location, accurate description and photos. Only a mixer shower in the bath.

Place was clean, well located and facilities were decent. As other reviews have said, only really a bath and no shower. There's a shower head, but not enough head space to stand or even kneel in the bath.

A hidden gem in the heart of Cowes. We had a wonderful time! The property is quite unique and full of charm. The property was very clean and had everything we needed, The extra large bed was very comfortable too! Parking was not an issue for us as we came over by foot. The property is within easy walking distance to the Red Jet and everything we needed was on our door step. So many lovely places to eat and explore. We did venture to Newport one day via bus. Bus stop is just around the corner and leave every 30 minutes, was so easy we will definitely be back. Thank you
